Naomi Amarger is a French director of photography living between Paris and New York.
After starting out as an actress, she trained at the École Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière in Paris, then worked at Panavision in New York and as an assistant to cinematographers she admires.
Naomi recently shot Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar's feature film Divertimento, which won awards at the Montreal Cinémania Festival and the Washington DC International Film Festival. Her first documentary, The Disappearance of Shere Hite, by Nicole Newnham, is selected for the Sundance Festival 2023 and nominated in 3 categories at the Critics Choice Documentary Awards.
She receives the Best Cinematography Award at the CINEF Festival in Kinshasa, Congo, for Juliette Boucheny's film Ativio.
Naomi is a BAFTA member, and a member of Femmes à la Caméra and ICFC, International Collective of Female Cinematographers. She is selected to be part of the ASC Vision Mentorship Program in 2021.
