Passionate about the visual arts (drawing, photography, cinema) from an early age, Sara Massaroni naturally turned to film studies, which she pursued at the Accademia Internazionale delle Arti e Scienze dell'Immagine, Image section, in Italy.

With her diploma in hand, she set off to discover the world through her travels and her art. She eventually settled in France, but always with an eye to Italy. She divides her life and work between the two countries, where she takes part in numerous projects for cinema and television: fiction (short and feature-length), documentaries, news reports, live shows and web-series. Sara has worked as an assistant, cameraman and lighting technician, but framing remains her favorite field.

Wishing to perfect her skills, she continues to train in different techniques, most recently in Steadicam. Open-minded and inquisitive, she perfectly combines her academic education with the technological evolutions of her profession, and agrees to collaborate on projects such as the latest short film she lit, filmed entirely by smartphone.
